L Type Wrappers

L type wrappers use an L-shaped sealing bar to enclose a product in centre-folded packaging film, sealing two edges and separating the wrapped item from the film roll. When used for shrink packaging, a separate or integrated shrink tunnel then applies heat to draw the film closely around the product. Loading and sealing may be manual, semi-automatic or automatic, depending on the machine.

They are well suited to individually wrapping regularly shaped products and assembling small retail bundles. Typical examples include cartons, books, stationery, games and boxed household goods, as well as supported bakery products where the film and process are suitable. The product dimensions, required presentation and tolerance to tunnel heat determine the appropriate wrapping arrangement.
