Pouch Fill Sealers
Pouch fill sealers open pre-made pouches, receive a measured portion of product from a compatible filler, and seal the pouch closed. Unlike form fill sealers, they start with an already manufactured bag rather than forming one from a roll of film. Pouch opening, filling and sealing arrangements depend on the machine and the pouch format.
They are useful for retail products packed in pre-made flat or stand-up pouches where the selected machine supports that format. Typical products include coffee, nuts, dried fruit, rice, snacks and powdered ingredients. Weighing or auger systems can supply dry products, while liquids and pastes require a suitable dosing system; pouch material and the sealing area must also suit the contents.
